You can encourage good behavior in yourself by following a simple trick that many people follows which is to reward yourself when you have achieved something. The reward can be very small but it still makes you feel that you get rewarded for achieving something and makes you want to achieve more in life. It’s like you are making yourself work for more and the process helps you make yourself better. There are many types of advantages that you can get by rewarding yourself and also it helps to motivate yourself to do more every day and push your limits. There are also many different types of rewards that you can give yourself.

Helps you make positive habits in your life

If you want to develop positive and helpful habits in your life you have to understand the power of rewarding yourself. If you constantly reward yourself for doing a tough job you will make it a habit for yourself to keep doing that job. As it will develop a tendency in you to keep doing that hard job for that reward. Make something that you like doing a lot a reward. For example, give yourself 15 minutes time to enjoy a game if you complete one hour of study. If you are a gamer you would need that 15 minutes of gaming badly and if you restrict yourself in such a way that you would only play the game when you complete one hour of study that it can be a really powerful motivation.

Making yourself feel good

By rewarding yourself you are making yourself feel good. It gives you a sense of achievement when you get rewarded after you have accomplished a task. We all feel good when we do something amazing in life. Rewarding yourself makes you confident about yourself and motivates you to achieve more than you did last time and you start competing with yourself. This will start bringing positive changes in your life and you will start aiming for a higher purpose in your life. You can Google Thrive reviews to see how rewarding themselves has changed the lives of many people.

Reward yourself instantly

It is important to reward yourself instantly and not later after an achievement. This is due to the fact that it will lose value if you take much time to reward yourself and the whole act would seem insignificant. For example, let us think that you have worked in an office for two years and you are expecting a promotion today. But instead, some other guy was given that opportunity. After some years even if you get the promotion you won’t feel happy. Similarly, it is important that any achievement is awarded instantly and not later.

Make yourself hungry for reward

You can develop a positive mental attitude by making yourself want the reward badly. You have to stop doing something that you love doing completely and can only allow yourself some minutes of it after achieving some task. An example can be that you like to listen to music and you would only allow yourself to listen to when song when you have completed one chapter of your syllabus.

Rewarding yourself can bring positive changes in your life and build discipline in your life.
